I have been your Property Appraiser for 36 years and have performed every aspect of this job. I’ve been DOING it, my opponents are making “promises”. None of them have any background in Mass Appraisal which is required by the State of Florida.
I have a challenger, with only a high school diploma, who has absolutely NO qualifications for the job of Property Appraiser. Most of the things he has been telling people are incorrect and it’s very apparent he doesn’t understand the details of the job he is running for. An example is the well worn tactic used against the incumbent Property Appraiser, which is “your property is over assessed”.
The Department of Revenue has reported that Lake County’s level of assessment has been in full compliance with Florida Law, each and every year since I’ve been working for you. We work very hard to make sure ALL appraisals are fair and equitable–showing no partiality.
